it has come to our attention that people feel the current voting system is unfair on novice artists we were wondering if anyone had a suggestion for minimising the work on our voting team and also encouraging competition as a way of motivation in the group

the weekly deviations is set as different mediums to encourage people to attempt different mediums as you can add one new picture to each of the folders every week so the more you attempt the greater your chances of being featured

as you know emerald and i are always trying to improve our group to make it more fun and engaging with all of you. if anyone has any suggestions as to what you would want to see in the group feel free to comment. remember a group is only as good as its members so all your views are welcome and no comment too silly ;)

When you get invited and hit yes before checking out the gallery and then go to the gallery and find all these wonderful creations
then start questioning why you were even invited in the first place because holy crap everyone's art looks so amazing.

Strange. What happened to the cute valentine card contest? Did you guys remove it without announcement just like that?? That's rude.

suggestions needed

As you know I have been working on illustrating a book. I'm now about halfway through ish book 2. I've been doing it for about 4 months. I am also studying the equivalent of masters in management and equivalent of a degree in teaching at the same time. I also work full time. over the last 3 days, I have broken down 3 times. too much stress. my son now tells me he has been watching me go downhill for while. he says I am exhausted and my body needs to sleep (but I do go to bed and had this week off so had a few lie ins (admittedly I have also been painting for over 12 hours each day on my week off.

Apparently, even though you don't feel tired and your brain is still awake one can be exhausted.  not sure what the answer is as I have to get this second book done. the author has given me an outline but won't fully write the book until the artwork is completed as then he can amend the book as he goes. and i still have deadlines for my studying and i still have to go to work to earn money to survive

So if anyone has any advice on what I can do and taking a break is not an option I have too much to do then that would be most helpful
